I believe in fate too but in a more general sense. I mean, our destination is fixed but the road there -- be it straight, diagonal or winding -- is our choosing.
Before I arrived in NYC, I never ever thought I would end up there. It wasn't even on my radar. Then when I got there, I never ever thought I would end up in rural Maine. Go figure! But I'm making the best of it by enjoying the journey because ultimately, the destination is out of my control.
